back2normal has a small but dedicated team, making sure that every step of your journey goes smoothly and successfully. Here is a summary of their experience

James Clear, senior musculoskeletal physiotherapist

After working in the private sector for 7 years, James joined back2normal in 2006 and has pursued a special interest in the treatment of sports and spinal injuries. Having a vast experience with high level athletes, including premier league football players, and team GB athletes, James incorporates manual therapy, acupuncture, the correction of muscle imbalances and movement dysfunctions combined with exercise techniques for pain relief.

Colin Natali is a consultant spinal, trauma and general orthopaedic surgeon, appointed to St Bartholomews and The Royal London Hospital, Whitechapel in December 1996. He is also programme director for the orthopaedic training programme, and the lead for undergraduate training at the hospital.

Colin has admitting rights at The Lister, Bupa Cromwell, the London Independent Hospital, and the London Bridge Hospital, for his private practice. He founded back2normal in 2001 alongside TJ Salih, and recently formed a spinal consortium called All About Spines, and a healthcare design company called London medical Design.

TJ Salih, chartered physiotherapist

TJ Salih graduated from the University of East London in 1994 with an Honours Degree in Physiotherapy. After qualifying he continued for a year at the university as a research fellow before moving to the public sector and gaining experience in a number of fields.

In 1996 he progressed to work with Tottenham Hotspur Football Club (THFC), first part time and then as a full time physiotherapist for the professional players at the club. In 1999 TJ travelled across Australia and observed how clinics combined manual therapy and evidence based specific exercises, in particular spinal exercises, giving patients a much better outcome than more traditional models employed in the UK.On his return he co-founded back2normal with Colin Natali.

His clinical interests include sports injuries, intramuscular stimulation, connective tissue manipulation and spinal pain. In addition, he mentors physiotherapy students and new graduates, and lectures on both undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

Matt Boyden, chartered physiotherapist

Matt graduated with a BSc (Hons) physiotherapy degree from St George's University of London. Prior to studying physiotherapy he spent 6 years as a fitness trainer and soft tissue therapist working with physiotherapists in the gym based management of work and sports injuries. Matt's area of interest is sports injury and postural problems which he treats with a combination of corrective exercise, soft tissue work and pilates.

Matt is certified with the London School of Sports Massage, the Australian Physiotherapy Pilates Institute and the American College of Sports Medicine amongst others.  He puts his sports medicine experience into practice with a semi-professional football team by providing pitch side cover, and is a member of the FA medical society.
