Wrinkle reducing injectables

Using either Botox©, Vistabel© or Azzulure© these products are a simple, safe and effective way to quickly improve the appearance of frown lines, forehead creases and crows lines. It is also possible to improve the jaw and neckline and to reverse pulling down of the mouth corners that often comes with age.

Using a very fine needle, the procedure is almost painless and the effects will be seen 5-10 days later and last for 4-6 months. It may become necessary to repeat the procedure less over time as the muscles ‘forget’ the movements that create the wrinkles in the first place.

Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers are made of hyularonic acid, a naturally occurring product in the skin. It is injected via a very small needle into wrinkles, creases, cheeks or lips to plump up the area and restore natural volume, lifting creases and making them less noticeable.  At The London Skin Clinic we use Juvederm© Fillers which have local anaesthetic within them making the procedure relatively painless. The effects last for 9-12 months.

We also offer Voluma, which is a specialist filler for cheeks and temples and can only be administered by doctors trained in the procedure. A local anaesthetic is injected into the skin beforehand to make it pain free. Voluma lasts 18 months to 2 years.

Hyperhydrosis (excessive sweating)

Excessive sweating is an embarrassing problem that limits activity, ruins clothes and chips away at self-confidence. The same products used for wrinkle relaxing can be used to stop the sweat glands from over producing sweat, as occurs in hyperhydrosis.

At The London Skin Clinic we successfully treat hyperhydrosis in one simple procedure that involves injecting Botox© or Vistabel© under the skin and into the sweat glands. The results can dramatically improve lives and will last up to 6 months. 

Chemical Peels

Skin tone and texture changes as we age and the extent to which this happens varies from individual to individual and is influenced by many factors. Sun exposure, smoking, acne or just getting older can affect your skin tone and leave it uneven, spotted, wrinkled, or scarred. There are ways to tackle this damage and achieve smoother and younger looking skin. Chemical peels, which use a dermatologically formulated chemical solution to smooth skin texture by removing the damaged outer layers, is a proven treatment in tackling these problems.

A chemical peel is also one of the least invasive ways to improve skin appearance. Whilst being used mainly on the face, chemical peels can also be used to improve the skin on your neck, hands and back.

Dermaroller

A revolutionary medical device, proven to stimulate elastin and collagen production in the skin, it is an excellent solution for all facial scarring. It gives excellent results in scar improvement, stretch marks, anti-aging, anti-wrinkle, hyper-pigmentation correction and cellulite reduction.

The procedure can be painful and we therefore numb the area to be treated using a cream which is applied 30 minutes before the treatment. The skin will be red for 2-3 days after and you may need to plan your days following the treatment to accommodate this.  For best results a course of 3 Dermaroller treatments is recommended, a month apart.
