Orthotics
The structure of your foot supports your entire body weight. Problems with the structure or misalignment of your muscles, and how they work, may cause pain throughout your whole body.
At back2normal we utilise the latest Gaitscan (TM) Technology which scans the foot pressure as you walk or run across a computerised pressure plate. This pressure plate captures the pressure distribution of your foot, and then maps out a 2D and 3D visual picture of these pressures.
This detailed information allows your physiotherapist to have a greater idea of your foot biomechanics, and to determine the effect this may be having on your ankles, knees, hips and back. It also determines whether you would benefit from wearing custom made orthotics.
Orthotics are medical insoles worn in your shoe to provide stability to the bones of your feet. They provide greater control of your feet and help them to function normally, in turn minimise ankle, knee, hip and back pain.
